Our Story
Two Sheffield businesses, one January job
We are Joel Berry of Berry’s Trees and Gardens Ltd, and Mitchel Ingham of JM Trees and Groundcare. We have been friends for a number of years, and originally decided to put our efforts into raising money for a good cause in our quieter winter period.
We enjoyed it so much that we have continued with the project every year, despite our respective businesses having grown considerably since January ’18. We have run the project every January since then, and are prepped and ready for January ’27.

We hope that the rises in costs of living won’t dissuade people from using our service again, and contributing to what is such a great and worthy cause.

The Process
Three things, and your tree is gone
We add you to the round
Your address goes into our database and onto the collection schedule. We follow all GDPR guidelines, and will hold your details for only as long as we need them to collect your tree.
Leave it out on the morning
Trees go out the front of the property on the morning of Wednesday 6th January. We collect from then, and hope to have completed most of the collections after 8 days.
If we have not collected your tree after 8 days, please get in touch via our Facebook page. We do not take calls to our business numbers regarding this service.
